BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Little Rock women's basketball will make a second appearance on linear television this season as the Ohio Valley Conference announced its sixth and seventh games of the 2022-23 ESPN basketball schedule on Tuesday.
The Trojans contest at SIUE on Feb. 23 has been moved up to a 4 p.m. tip-off with the game airing nationally on ESPNU. This will be the sixth time Little Rock women's basketball will be on linear TV in the past six seasons.
Little Rock (16-9, 13-1 Ohio Valley) is currently tied for first at the top of the OVC standings alongside Eastern Illinois (20-4, 13-1). SIUE (8-17, 7-7) recently knocked off the Panthers. Both Little Rock and Eastern Illinois have clinched the top two seeds in the OVC Tournament with four regular season games left to play.
The Trojans are at home on Feb. 16 against Southern Indiana and on Feb. 18 against Eastern Illinois before next Thursday's national broadcast.
This season the OVC is utilizing a Wild Card selection process to determine the linear broadcasts, with selections determined and announced approximate two weeks before the competition date to ensure the best matchups. The other broadcast announcement for Feb. 23 will feature the men's contest involving Tennessee State at UT Martin.
The full schedule includes nine total men's basketball games (six regular season contests and three OVC Tournament games) that will appear on one of the linear networks during the season. Four of the regular season matchups and the OVC Tournament semifinals will air on ESPNU, two games will air on ESPNews and the OVC Tournament championship game will air on ESPN2.
The schedule also includes a women's basketball matchup on Thursday, February 23 on ESPNU. In addition, all seven games of the OVC Women's Basketball Tournament, as well as the first round and quarterfinals of the men's tournament (four total games), will air on ESPN+.
The 2023 OVC Championship Tournament is scheduled for March 1-4 at The Ford Center in Evansville, Indiana.
Once again, over 200 regular season conference games and home regular season non-conference contests will be streamed on ESPN+.
