LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock's spring season continues on to just outside of Las Vegas as the Trojans will compete in the 2023 Jackrabbit Invitational March 13-14.
Tournament Information
The 2023 Jackrabbit Invitational, hosted by South Dakota State, will be held Monday, March 13 and Tuesday, March 14 at Boulder Creek Country Club, a par-72, 6,343-yard course in Boulder City, Nevada. The 54-hole event will be broken up into two days with rounds one and two getting underway with a 10 a.m. CT shotgun start, leading up to Tuesday's final 18 holes starting with a 10 a.m. CT shotgun start. Tournament Field
Little Rock will be one of 14 teams competing in the desert southwest next week as the Trojans will be the lone Ohio Valley Conference school among the field. Lipscomb (No. 93) and Western Carolina (No. 99) enter as the favorites, sitting among the latest GolfStat Top-100, with Grand Canyon (No. 112), Middle Tennessee (No. 132), Belmont (No. 133), USC Upstate (No. 143) and Missouri State (No. 150) joining Little Rock (No. 149) among the GolfStat Top-150.

Jenna Birch will bring a mix of experience to the event in Nevada, anchored by
Agatha Alesson and her team-best 74.33 scoring average with four par-or-better rounds.
Katja Mueller will play the number two spot, boasting a 75.00 average, with

Viktoria Krnacova comprising the Trojan lineup.

Led by top-20 finishes by both
Agatha Alesson and
Katja Mueller, Little Rock placed sixth among the 16-team field at the Jackrabbit Invitational at Boulder Creek Golf Club. The Trojans shot a 7-over 295 over the final 18 holes, closing out the event at 18-over 882. Alesson was the top Trojan finisher, firing a 1-over 73 in round three to sit in sole possession of 15th at 2-over 218, her new tournament career low. Mueller joined Alesson among the top-20, tying for 20th at 5-over 221 behind her final round 3-over 75.
Last Time Out
Agatha Alesson notched her first top-10 tournament showing of the season and two other Trojans finished among the individual top-20 as Little Rock tied for fourth at the spring-opening Tchefuncta Invitational in south Louisiana. The Trojans finish with a 46-over 898 for its second top-five team finish of the year. Alesson finished eighth among the 44-player field with a 10-over 223, shooting an 8-over 79 in round three. She was joined in the individual top-20 by
Katja Mueller and
Malena Austerslaatt, finishing 13th and 14th, respectively.
OVC Honors For Agatha
Junior
Agatha Alesson was named the Ohio Valley Conference Female Golfer of the Week on March 2 after she placed eighth among the 44-player field at the Tchefuncta Invitational with a 10-over 223. Alesson opened the spring-opening event with a pair of 1-over 72s in rounds one and two, notching her first top-10 showing of the year and the third of her Trojan career. It is her second OVC Golfer of the Week honor, earning the conference's first honor on September 7.
Preseason Favorites
Little Rock was tabbed the preseason favorites in the 2022-23 Ohio Valley Conference poll, voted on by the league's head coaches. The Trojans received six of the seven first place votes and 36 total points, finishing seven spots ahead of second-place Morehead State and eight ahead of third-place Tennessee Tech.

Heading into this weekend's event in Nevada, a pair of Trojans have their sights on a record watch.
Agatha Alesson is currently ranked third all-time in career scoring average at 75.30, but she is about to have company from teammate
Katja Mueller, who is on the cusp of playing her 50th career round to meet the minimum. Mueller currently boasts a 74.96 scoring average, which would currently rank second all-time behind Sara Wikstrom's 74.63 mark.
