GULF SHORES, Ala. – Katja Mueller's runner-up finish led the Trojans to fourth place among the 15-team field at the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores, Ala. The performance is tied for the highest team finish on the season.

Mueller's one-over 217 not only secured her second place, but also is her best 54 hole tournament appearance on the year and second best career tournament performance. Mueller shot a 3-under 69 in the final round, another career best mark and brings her to three par-or-better rounds for season.
Mueller was not the only Trojan to achieve season high marks this weekend;
Viktoria Krnacova's 9-over 225 placed her tied for tenth place, her highest finish on the season.
Malena Austerslaatt finished tied for fifteenth with an 11-over 227 (78-73-76), her second best 54-hole tournament of the season.
Agatha Alesson shot a 22-over 238, finishing tied for 51
st, while
Anna Dawson rounded out the Trojan scorecard tied for 58
th with a 25-over 241. Alesson and Dawson faced setbacks in the second round, both shooting a 12-over 84, but improved on day 3, shooting a 6-over 78 and 7-over 79, respectively.
Mueller, Krnacova, and Austerslaatt all finished among the individual top-20, making it the most top-20 finishers Little Rock has had in a tournament since the 2020-2021 season. Little Rock led the field in par-fives with a 5.05 scoring average and tied for the most pars (168).
As a team, Little Rock carded a 43-over 907 and finished fourth, 6 shots ahead of hosts South Alabama, who finished fifth; however, Colorado State and Georgia State had strong team performances in round three, pushing them to second and third place finishes, respectively. ULM, on the other hand, held the top spot after each round, ending the event with a 15-over 87 and walking away with first place.
Little Rock gets next week off before heading to the East Coast. for the Ironwood Invitational hosted by East Carolina. The two-day event will be held Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4 at the Ironwood Country Club in Greenville, N.C.
