BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Katja Mueller has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Female Golfer of the Week after a runner-up finish at the Bama Beach Bash in Gulf Shores, Ala. this week. Mueller's 1-over 217 is her season-best and led the Trojans to a fourth place team finish. Her 3-under 69 third round was also her career low round and marked her third par-or-better round of the season.
The Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany native also led the 81 player field n par-fives with a 4.73 scoring average and shot even in par-threes, tying her for second overall. Mueller's 2
nd place spot is her first top-10 finish of the year and her third top-20.
This week's accolade marks the fifth time this season a Little Rock golfer has been named the Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week Mueller's first time earning the honors.
The Trojans have the week off before returning to action at the Ironwood Country Club for the Ironwood Invitational in Greenville, N.C. The two-day event is hosted by East Carolina and will be held Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4.
