The Women's Swimming and Diving team from Little Rock was recognized Monday for its achievements in the classroom, being named to the Scholar All-America Team for the Spring 2024 semester by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association (CSCAA).
Â
"I love to see our women flex their academic muscles as they continue their streak of being CSCAA Scholar All-Americans," said
Nathan Townsend, Little Rock Swimming and Diving head coach. "These Trojans are the true definitions of '
academic weapons' and I am so proud of what they accomplished in the classroom this year."Â
Little Rock posted a semester grade point average of 3.56 during the spring to be recognized as one of 722 teams from 417 institutions across the country to be honored for their outstanding academic performance.
Â
The Trojans have played a big part in helping Little Rock Athletics run its string of consecutive terms with a 3.0 or greater department-wide GPA to 22 straight semesters.
