LITTLE ROCK - Head Coach
Chris Curry announces the hiring of Charles Gravett as the new Assistant Coach,
Tyler Sanders as Director of Clubhouse Operations, Evan Lee as Director of Player Development, and
Jacob Weatherley, Chandler Fidel, and Cole Clark as Graduate Assistants.
Charles Gravett
Gravett joined the Little Rock Baseball staff in 2022 as the Director of Baseball Operations after playing collegiate baseball at Xavier University. Coach Curry says, "his work ethic and attention to detail is second to none. We have no doubt that he will help our program be better in every area." Gravett will take coach first base and work with the outfielders.
Evan Lee
Lee joins the Little Rock Baseball staff as the Director of Player Development. Lee played at the University of Arkansas in 2017 and 2018 before being drafted by the Washington Nationals as a draft eligible sophomore. After being drafted, Lee spent his first 3 years in the A, High-A, and Double AA affiliates before receiving a Big League Spring Training Invite in 2022 followed by his big league debut June 1st against the Mets. Coach Curry says, "We're very fortunate to add Evan Lee to our staff...his experience at the highest level of college baseball and in the Majors will give our pitchers every opportunity to be the best they can be." Lee will serve as a right-hand-man to pitching coach
Brady Cox.
Tyler Sanders
Sanders is entering his 7th year on the Little Rock Baseball Staff - this year as the Director of Clubhouse Operations. Sanders first joined Little Rock as an undergraduate manager in 2018. Upon graduating with a degree in mathematics, Sanders was brought onto the staff as the Director of Player Development. Â Coach Curry says, "Tyler has been with our program for seven years now and the number of things he handles behind the scenes are countless. Â Tyler has a high baseball IQ and helps us to make sure we have whatever we need to be successful both on and off the field."
Graduate Assistants
Jacob Weatherley joins the Little Rock Baseball staff just one year after being named OVC Pitcher of the Year. Weatherley first arrived in Little Rock as a freshman in 2021 as a starter, but finished his career as the closer. Chandler Fidel played for Little Rock from 2017-2019 and is among one of the greatest pitchers in Little Rock history. Cole Clark is the son of legendary Arkansas coach Jimmy Clark and brings a vast knowledge and work ethic to the team. Coach Curry says, "we have a great group of young graduate assistants who are starting their coaching career with us...we have two of the all-time greats to ever toe the rubber at Little Rock with
Jacob Weatherley and Chandler Fidel...Cole Clark is the son of legendary Arkansas Baseball Coach Jimmy Clark, so his pedigree and experience is very high...together all three of these guys will support our players and our staff at a very high level."
