BRENTWOOD, TENN. – The Ohio Valley Conference announced Thursday morning that Little Rock junior
Eleonore Aernouts has been selected as Female Golfer of the Week.
Aernouts took second at the Lady Red Wolves Invitational Tuesday. The Elancourt, France native shot
6-under par across three rounds at Sage Meadows Golf Club.
"I am so excited for Eleonore," Little Rock head coach
Jenna Birch said. "She's played well this fall, and she had a great tournament in Jonesboro. This is a great honor and a result of a lot of hard work this fall."
Aernouts shot 69 the first two rounds and ended with a 72 on the final 18.
"I've always tried to work hard, never give up and believe in myself," Aernouts said. "That has paid off at Little Rock."
Aernouts and the Trojans, who finished 5
th, will play host to the Diamante Intercollegiate and Diamante Country Club at Hot Springs Village. The three day event begins Sunday.
"I am looking forward to seeing how Eleonore plays after such a great tournament this week," Birch said. "Our team is looking forward to hosting and finishing the fall on a high note."
