Little Rock dropped the second game of its opening Ohio Valley Conference series Saturday in a 14-9 decision against Tennessee Tech at Gary Hogan Field. The Trojans will look to salvage a win in the series Sunday when the teams meet for a 12:05 pm contest.

The Golden Eagles (17-7, 2-0) opened with a four-spot in the first inning, added two more in the second and third, and never looked back. Little Rock (9-14, 0-2) scored a pair of runs in the fifth and another in the eighth. The Trojans put up six runs in the ninth, including a grand slam from
Ryan Geck.

Brody Bunting (1-4) started on the mound for Little Rock, throwing four innings with two strikeouts and a pair of walks. The junior surrendered 11 hits and 10 runs, just six of which were earned.
Zach Busick threw a pair of frames in relief and
Seth Cooper chipped in two scoreless innings with two strikeouts.
Brenden Katz finished the game in the ninth.

Geck led the Trojans offensively with three hits, four RBI and a pair of runs scored.
Ty Rhoades and
Alex Seguine each had a pair of hits. Rhoades had a double and Seguine reached base four times.
Jacob Ambriz and
Jayce Blalock each had successful pinch-hit appearances, Ambriz also scored once and Blalock crossed home twice. Seguine,
Sammy Harris and
Cooper Chaplain each drew two walks.
