MONROE, Louisiana — The Little Rock Women's Golf team is now focused on the OVC Championships in two weeks after completing their final spring event in Louisiana. The Trojans finished in 8th place overall at the ULM Invitational.
"Obviously as a coach this isn't the finish that I wanted to the regular season. As a team we wanted to use this last event to boost our confidence heading into the conference championship. However, this week taught us a lot about our games, our strengths and our weaknesses which is overall a good thing because now we can work hard and prepare for conference. I trust in the teams ability to pick themselves up and be ready to compete as hard as we can in two weeks. We are a strong team physically and mentally and I cannot wait to see how much this week pushes them to get better. Obviously Eleonore and Anna continue to lead the team and they are going to be two very important and key parts to us potentially winning the conference championship again."- Head Coach Jenna Birch
Little Rock ended the tournament with a score of 37-over 901, finishing five strokes behind East Texas A&M. Southern Mississippi claimed the team title at 5-under 859, followed by host ULM at 1-over 863 in second place, and Oral Roberts at 1-over 865 in third.
