LITTLE ROCK — The 2025 Little Rock Soccer season begins Thursday with the Trojans hosting Arkansas State for a 6 p.m. exhibition match at the Coleman Sports Complex. This will be the 29th meeting between the two programs – Arkansas State has won the last three out of four matches, with the last Trojan win coming in 2018.
Little Rock has 18 returning players from last year, led by an experienced upperclassman core centered around
Peyton Urban,
Amaya Arias, and
Candice Kilderry, and
Serenity Thake. All four players have received pre-season conference recognition while Urban is looking to defend her 2024 Goalkeeper of the Year title.
The Trojans have 8 incoming freshmen, brought in from five states and two countries, to strengthen and complement the strong finish from last season.
Little Rock will play another exhibition Saturday at Jackson State before officially opening the season Aug. 14 at East Texas A&M. The Trojans' home opener is slated for Aug. 31 against Central Arkansas in the Governor's I-40 Showdown.
