LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Trojans travel to Tulsa on Thursday to take on Oral Roberts in what will be a hard-fought battle between non conference foes, a series where two of the last three matchups have ended in ties.
Little Rock (2-2-1) recently drew 1-1 against Southeastern Louisiana and will be looking to dust off that performance and get back in the win column. Oral Roberts (4-3-1) drew 2-2 in its previous match against crosstown rival Tulsa.
Little Rock and Oral Roberts last played in 2024 at the Coleman Soccer Complex, though it did not go in the Trojans' favor. The Golden Eagles own the series advantage overall, but the margin has been slim — 1.64 goals per game to 1.13 for Little Rock. The Trojans do not go down without a fight, and this year will be no different.
Little Rock and Oral Roberts were both pegged as dark horses in their respective conferences; Little Rock was picked third and Oral Roberts fifth in their 2025 conference preseason polls. In 2024, both teams performed well in their conference tournaments, with Little Rock making it to the semifinals and Oral Roberts the championship round.
Little Rock head coach Kelly Farrell sees this matchup as important for her team and a great way to improve from the last game.
"We've regrouped [from the last game] and are looking ahead to two huge matchups this week, our last tests before we start OVC play. ORU will be a good challenge for us, and I'm hoping to execute what we've been working on on both sides of the ball," Farrell said.
Kickoff is set for 7 p.m., and it will be streamed on ESPN+. Follow along on social media for updates.
