LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – After guiding Little Rock to its best conference finish in her tenure, head coach
Kelly Farrell has agreed to a four-year contract extension, Little Rock Director of Athletics
Frank M. Cuervo announced Thursday.
Farrell, who took over the Trojan program in 2022, has steadily elevated the team's performance, culminating in an outstanding 2024 campaign. Little Rock finished
second in the Ohio Valley Conference last season - the program's best league finish in Farrell's three-year tenure. The Trojans earned the
No. 2 seed in the OVC Tournament, their highest post-season ranking since 2018, ultimately advancing to the tournament semifinals.
The Little Rock head coach owns a
21-21-18 overall record with an
8-7-11 mark in OVC play.
"I am so thankful for the support of Chancellor Christina Drale, Director of Athletics Frank Cuervo and our entire administration," Farrell said. "Little Rock is a special place, and the growth and development we've experienced makes it a great environment to be a part of. I believe deeply in this program, and I look forward to the opportunity to continue to build it to new heights. I am honored and grateful to continue leading the Trojans."
Cuervo praised Farrell's leadership and the direction she has taken the program.
"We are thrilled to extend Coach
Kelly Farrell's contract and continue building on the incredible momentum she has brought to Trojan Soccer," said Cuervo. "Her leadership, passion, and commitment to the growth of our student-athletes—both on and off the field—have been inspiring. Under Kelly's guidance, the program has achieved at a high level, and we are excited about the bright future ahead for Little Rock Soccer."
The Trojans are off to a
2-2 start in 2025 and play host Southeastern Louisiana on Thursday. The match will serve as a milestone moment for the program, featuring the
dedication of the new state-of-the-art Trojan Field at the Coleman Sports Complex. A ribbon-cutting ceremony will precede the game.
