Trojan Women Golfers Set for Spring Season

Little Rock Tees it up at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate Sunday

PLANT CITY, Fla. – The Little Rock women's golf team opens the 2026 spring season Sunday at the Advance Golf Partners Collegiate, hosted by UNC Greensboro in Florida. The event runs through Tuesday.

"We're excited to begin the spring season and look forward to competing," Little Rock head coach Jenna Birch said. "This field features quality competition, so our team will need to play well. It's a strong early test as we open the season."

Birch was pleased with how the Trojans closed the fall season and challenged her team to continue improving during the offseason.

"When we finished our final tournament in October, I told them we had improved a lot in the fall, but there were still facets we needed to work on during the break," Birch said. "The girls worked hard, and I think that will show this spring."

The Ohio Valley Conference coaches poll was released this week, with Little Rock picked second, just behind Morehead State.

Leading the way for the Trojans is junior Eleonore Aernouts, who was named to the OVC Women's Players to Watch List. The France native earned October OVC Women's Golfer of the Month honors after posting a 71.2 stroke average over two tournaments, including four rounds under par. Aernouts finished second among 102 competitors at the Lady Red Wolves Classic with a three-round total of 210 (-6), just three shots off the lead. Her two rounds of 69 tied for the fourth-lowest rounds by an OVC golfer this season. She closed the fall with a 1-over-par 217 at the Diamante Intercollegiate, finishing 19th.

Sophomore Cloé Poizac also turned in a strong fall, earning OVC Golfer of the Week honors in October. Poizac finished 1-over par at the Diamante Intercollegiate, hosted by Little Rock at Diamante Country Club in Hot Springs Village, tying Aernouts for 19th as the Trojans placed eighth in a competitive field.
Rounding out the lineup this week are lara Martin, Elvira Flodstrom, and Nina Pitsch.

"We feel good about our team," Birch said. "Now it's about getting out there, competing, and preparing for the OVC Tournament. Our goal is always to win the conference and qualify for an NCAA Regional, and we're looking to build toward that during the regular season."
