HUMACAO, Puerto Rico –
Eleonore Aernouts turned in another steady round to lead the Little Rock women's golf team during the second round of the Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational Tuesday at the Flamboyan Course at Palmas Del Mar Country Club.
Aernouts finished the day with an even-par 72 and sits at +3 for the tournament, pacing the Trojans heading into the final round of the event.
The France native delivered a consistent performance throughout the round, posting a 37 on the front nine before matching that score on the back. She recorded three birdies during the round, including strong play down the stretch to remain near the top of the leaderboard.
"Eleonore has been extremely steady for us the first two days," Little Rock head coach
Jenna Birch said. "She's doing a great job staying patient, hitting quality shots, and putting herself in position to score."
Fehild Graesel also produced a solid round for Little Rock, finishing with a +5 total after shooting an even-par 72 Tuesday. Graesel opened the day with a 35 on the front nine, highlighted by consistent play and key pars. She added birdies on the back nine to remain in a strong position heading into the final round.
Cloe Poizac recorded a three-over 75 in the second round and currently sits at +10 for the tournament. Poizac battled through the round before finding momentum late, highlighted by a birdie on the par-3 12th hole.
Iara Martin finished the round with a 76 (+4) and stands at +6 overall. Martin settled in on the back nine with several pars to stay within striking distance entering the final day.
Elvira Flodstrom rounded out the Trojan lineup with a 77 (+5) and sits at +13 for the tournament.
Birch said the team showed resilience throughout the round as they navigated the challenging coastal layout.
"This course can test you if you get out of position, but I thought our group did a good job competing and staying focused," Birch said. "We've put ourselves in a good position heading into the final round, and now it's about finishing strong."
The Trojans will close out the Puerto Rico Iguana Invitational on Thursday with the final round at the Flamboyan Course, looking to continue their steady play.
