LITTLE ROCK- Senior forward
Arola Aparicio Gili has received Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for her impressive performances over the weekend, announced today by league officials. The senior is receiving this honor for the second time this season, as she has
been an offensive force all season long.
Aparicio Gili netted two goals over the weekend. She scored the final goal in a 5-0 victory over Troy to help seal the three points for the Trojans. The Spanish forward also scored an incredible late winner in the 85
th minute against Georgia Southern.
A two-time First Team All-Sun Belt selection, Aparicio Gili is receiving Player of the Week honors for the second time in her career. With her performance over the weekend, the senior has now reached 42 points for her career which ranks eighth all-time in Little Rock history. Aparicio Gili has scored seven goals this season, a career high for the senior.
The Trojans will be the two seed in the upcoming Sun Belt Tournament starting on Oct. 31. Little Rock will return to action Oct. 28 when they travel to Boone, N.C. to take on Appalachian State.
