LITTLE ROCK- Senior midfielder
Jaclyn Purvine has received Sun Belt Conference Offensive Player of the Week honors for her impeccable goal-scoring form and attacking presence over the weekend, announced today by league officials.
Purvine was dominant in the attacking third of the pitch for the Trojans, racking up a total of seven points for the weekend. She scored one goal and tallied an assist in the first match of the weekend against Austin Peay, a team that had not conceded a goal prior to that game. The team traveled to Mississippi Valley State for Sunday's match, where Purvine would net two goals.
The Moore, Okla. native is dominating the Sun Belt Conference in multiple statistical categories, as she leads the conference in points (14), goals (6), points per game (2.33), goals per game (1.00) and game-winning goals (3).
The senior midfielder is tied for third in the national rankings in total goals scored, ranks fifth in total points and sixth in goals per game.
Purvine now has 39 points in her career which ranks her 11
th all-time in Little Rock soccer history.
The Trojans will go for their fifth consecutive win on Sept. 7Â when they take on Big 12 opponent TCU at the Coleman Sports and Recreation Complex.
