LITTLE ROCK - The Little Rock Trojans soccer program (3-4-2) begins their conference slate this weekend, making the long trip to the state of Georgia. Little Rock faces Georgia State on Friday, Sep. 20 at 6:00 p.m. CT and Georgia Southern on Sunday, Sep. 22 at noon CT.
Trojan Report

Trojan Leaders
Freshman Julia Edholm continues to lead the Trojans with three goals scored, followed by classmate Mari Young with two of her own. Both boast a shot on goal percentage of 80% or better. Morgan Smocovich has helped out with five of Little Rock's 10 goals for far, the most out of any other player in the Sun Belt. In goal, redshirt freshman Julia Curatolo now has accumulated 24 saves.
Scouting Georgia State
Georgia State holds a record of 3-4-1 going into Friday's match, nearly identical to the Trojans. The difference is that while Little Rock is on a two-game win streak, the Panthers have not scored a goal in three matches. Last season, Georgia State was defeated by the Trojans both in-season as well as in the semifinals of the 2018 Sun Belt Conference Championship. In fact, Little Rock has a strong grip on the series record: 6-1-1.
Scouting Georgia Southern
Georgia Southern is currently 3-4, but will play at Coastal Carolina on Friday before hosting Little Rock at noon on Sunday. The Eagles have fallen in their last three games, yet in the three games that they did win, they scored more than one goal each time. In 2018, Georgia Southern concluded their season with a 1-0 loss to the Trojans, unable to qualify for the SBC Championship, but the series history is closer than it seems: 3-1-1 in favor of Little Rock.
