NEW ORLEANS – For Little Rock's Team, the conference schedule is set with a schedule that includes 16 league games starting Thursday, Dec. 31 and running up to the conference tournament beginning March 5 in Pensacola, Florida.
The Trojans will open the league slate at home with Texas State visiting the Jack Stephens Center then will ring in the new year on Jan. 2 by hosting UT Arlington.
Little Rock, along with the rest of the league's women's programs, has a 16-game conference schedule. Non-conference competition will be allowed and scheduled at institutional discretion. Little Rock's non-conference schedule will be announced at a later date.
Of the 16 league games, eight will be at the Jack Stephens Center with the other eight on the road. The 2020-21 slate will be especially challenging for the Trojans as Little Rock (and its travel partner, Arkansas State) will have to make two trips to East Division schools while the remainder of the West Division will only make one. Even more challenging for Little Rock, that second trip will be to Troy and South Alabama.
Another quirk in the 2020-21 schedule as Little Rock facing travel partner and rival Arkansas State in back-to-back games. The Arkansas State game, set for Saturday, Feb. 13, will be a doubleheader with the men's game, the only women's-men's doubleheader of the conference season.
The regular season will wrap-up at home for the Trojans with that doubleheader feature against Arkansas State before finishing the season with three straight road games – at Arkansas State (Feb. 20), at Louisiana (Feb. 25) and at ULM (Feb. 27).
All 12 teams will advance to the conference tournament, which moves to a new format and new location in Pensacola, Florida. That tournament will begin on Friday, March 5 and wrap up with the championship games (men's and women's) on Monday, March 8.
For conference games this season, all Thursday home contests will tip-off at 6:30 p.m. while Saturday games at the Jack Stephens Center will tip-off at 2 p.m.
Season tickets for the 2020-21 Little Rock basketball season are now on sale by calling the Trojan ticket office at 501-565-8257. Due to COVID social distancing regulations, seating capacity at the Jack Stephens Center will be much more limited than in years' past, and fans are encouraged to purchase season tickets to ensure seats at Little Rock home games this season.
