LITTLE ROCK - The Little Rock swimming and diving team are gearing up for one last competition of the regular season, hosting Vanderbilt this Saturday at 11 a.m. and honoring the Class of 2022 prior to the dual.
The meet will feature primarily a sprint lineup, from 100s of each stroke to shootout-style 50s against the SEC Commodores. The full schedule of events is below. Results will be posted on the MeetMobile app.
The Trojans are set to honor six swimmers that each have been instrumental for the program both in and out of the water: Khadijah Brown, Rylie Discenza, Carolyn Godwin, Asmalia Redzuan, Katelyn White, and Lea Zengerling.
"The combination of honoring our graduating class and swimming Vanderbilt will be one to watch tomorrow," said head coach Amy Burgess. "It is never easy to say farewell, but this group of seniors has left their mark on our program and will never be forgotten.
Little Rock will use tomorrow's meet as a chance to get up and race while tired one last time during the dual season. Following this weekend, the Trojans will begin to fine-tune details and taper for the Missouri Valley Conference Championships, which take place in Iowa City from February 16-19. Little Rock is picked to finish sixth at the MVC Championships.
