Trojan sophomore posts school record time that ranks as fourth-fastest in Sun Belt history

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock student-athletes combined to break six facility records and two school records while claiming 39 medals at the Trojans swept UCA at the Little Rock Twilight Friday afternoon at the Coleman Sports Complex.

One of the most notable performances came from Little Rock sophomore Cameron Jackson who clocked a new school record time of 10.10 in the 100m dash. He was the top collegiate finisher as he recorded the 10th best 100m dash time in the world this year and the third-best time in the country. His mark, which broke the 18-year old record of 10.14 previously held by Chris Johnson (who was in attendance), is the fourth-fastest 100m time in Sun Belt Conference history.

Jackson was joined by Cogan DeRousselle, Troy McKnight and Andre Dibbls on the men's 4x100m relay team that set a new facility record, winning with a time of 39.78. DeRousselle would also win the 110m hurdles, running 14.65.

A large chunk of those points came in the women's 200m, where Little Rock finished 2-3-4-6. Landri Schreier led the way with a time of 25.19 to claim silver while Maliyah Holland earned bronze, running 25.23. Helensia Green placed fourth with a time of 25.41. Christina Mboma, who won silver at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics in the 200m, was the overall winner Friday as she ran a new facility record time of 22.60.

Schreier also ran the third leg of the 4x100m relay that finished second, running 45.78. She was joined by Gabby Ayiteyfio, Aaliyah Lacy and Maliyah Holland as the relay finished second only to the relay team from Namibia, who won with a time of 45.52.
