LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Trojans head down to Dallas this weekend to compete in the SMU Invite, marking their final regular season meet of the year.
Little Rock will send its full squad to the meet as the team looks to fine-tune performances ahead of the Ohio Valley Conference Outdoor Track & Field Championships, set for May 14–16 at the Coleman Sports Complex in Little Rock.

SMU Invite
Little Rock competed in the SMU Invite last season in Dallas, delivering several standout performances. Former Trojans
Aaliyah Mathis (shot put, discus) and
Joel Allen (steeplechase), along with seniors
Brooklyn Marcee (pole vault) and
Deshawn Roberts (high jump), each claimed first-place finishes in their respective events. Multiple other Trojans also finished inside the top three.
The SMU Invite traditionally features 8–12 Division I and mid-major programs and serves as a final tune-up for teams ahead of their conference championship meets.
Coach's Perspective
"We're getting to that point in the season where the training is starting to come together and we should start seeing times and mark improve," said head coach
J.P. Behnke. "This is our last meet before the championship and I'm expecting to see several season bests."

The Trojans enter the weekend well rested following a week without competition since the Little Rock Invitational. Freshmen
Jeremiah Patton,
Colter Maya,
Jordan Morgan, and
Brianna Brinkley will look to make an impact in their first appearance in Dallas.
Little Rock aims to build momentum this weekend before returning home to host the OVC Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
