ARLINGTON, Texas – Little Rock track and field athletes posted podium finishes 13 different times as several moved up in the Sun Belt's performance list in an action-filled day at the UTA Under Armour Invitational Thursday at Maverick Stadium.

Teresa Thomas posted two remarkable performances on the day, opening action on the track by anchoring the 4x100m relay that claimed silver. The team posted a time of 45.50, a mark that ranks second in school history, as the quartet of
Gabby Ayiteyfio,
Aaliyah Lacy,
Landri Schreier and Thomas moved up to fourth in the Sun Belt this season.

A Kansas City native, Thomas also ran the third-fastest time in school history in the 400m as she clocked 54.55 to claim gold.
Helensia Green finished fifth in that race, running 57.23, while also anchoring the 4x400m relay team that finished second with a time of 3:58.27. Meanwhile Schreier ran the eighth-fastest 100m dash time in school history, running 11.93.

On the men's side,
Cameron Jackson continued to put on a show. Jackson anchored the winning 4x100m relay team with a time of 39.85, joined by
Cogan DeRousselle,
Taveion Neal and
Troy McKnight in the effort.

Jackson went on to smoke the competition in the 200m as he clocked 20.61. That ties for the second-fastest time in school history and his mark currently leads the Sun Belt Conference and ranks 18
th on the NCAA West Prelims Performance List. Neal, the second leg of that relay team, ran 21.47 to finish 12
th.

McKnight also was impressive on the track as he clocked 10.41 in the 100m dash, running the ninth-fastest time in school history.

Barry Richards ran the third-fastest 110m hurdles time in school history, clocking 14.61 to finish fourth.

Bailey Cronin smashed her personal best time in the 5,000m with an improvement of over 37 seconds. Her time of 18:15.28 placed her third while
Ariana Garcia finished sixth with a time of 18:37.80.

Equally as impressive with a huge personal best was Ayiteyfio in the 100m hurdles. Her time of 15.06 placed her fifth, shed over 0.8 seconds off her career-best mark and ranks sixth in school history.

Desmond Frazier won the shot put with a throw of 51-2.25 (15.60m) while
Ryan Curington jumped 23-4.75 (7.13m) to place third in the long jump.

Allison Stephens was impactful in the women's throws, placing fourth in the hammer with a mark of 157-0 (47.87m) and third in the discus with a throw of 141-11 (43.26m).
Aaliyah Mathis also made an impact, finishing third in the shot put with a throw of 42-0.5 (12.81m), fifth in the hammer with a throw of 134-4 (40.95m) and eighth in the discus, throwing 135-7 (41.33m).
Janae Largins placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 40-2.75 (12.26m) while her hammer throw of 133-2 (40.59m) placed seventh.

Select athletes will make one last push for NCAA West Preliminary Championship qualifying marks on May 6 at the Arkansas Twilight in Fayetteville, Arkansas, host of the 2022 NCAA West Prelims. The full team will next compete on May 12-14 at the Sun Belt Outdoor Championships in Lafayette, Louisiana.
