Little Rock Soccer Picks Up Two Players in Preparation for Spring Season

Two new defenders to bolster the Trojans

Little Rock, ARK. – Head Coach Kelly Farrell has announced the signing of two transfer student-athletes set to join the Trojans in the upcoming spring soccer season.
 
The two incoming transfers are:
 
Cameron Barrerio
Cameron Barreiro
Freshman | Defender | Perth, Western Australia, Australia | Sam Houston State University
 
Personal: Daughter of Fernando and Raquel Barreiro… Has one younger brother named Craig… Intends to major in psychology with hopes of one day becoming a physical therapist.
 
Prior to Little Rock: Played for club teams Perth Soccer Club as well as the Football West National Training Centre… Was named the captain of the national team… Graduate of Sacred Heart College where she competed as the left outside back all four years… Honored as the champion girl each year during her high school tenure… Additionally ran track at Sacred Heart all four years… Attended Sam Houston State before finally arriving at Little Rock.
 
"Cameron is an athletic defender with an excellent left foot who will certainly help to bolster our back line," Farrell had to say. "I am very excited to have her join us this spring and get acclimated into our system. Cam is a great addition who I know will fit in seamlessly with our group."

Sophomore | Defender | Papillion, Neb. | South Dakota State University

Personal: Daughter of Andrew and Shanna Turner… Has one younger sister… Intends to major in marketing with hopes of one day becoming an entrepreneur.
 
Prior to Little Rock: Graduate of Papillion La Vista High School while competing as a center back for the Monarchs… While in high school also ran track for her school… Attended South Dakota State University upon graduation before finally arriving at Little Rock.
 
"I am very excited to have Mykena join us this semester," Farrell said. "She is a smart, athletic defender and a natural leader who brings great experience with her from SDSU. Mykena is someone who I recruited out of high school, so it is exciting to see the process come full circle with her here in Little Rock."
