OVC Announces 2023 Conference Soccer Schedule

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – Little Rock will host five conference matches at the Coleman Sports Complex this fall as the Ohio Valley Conference announced the 2023 league schedule Tuesday.
 
The schedule announcement comes as Western Illinois prepares to join the OVC on July 1, adding a new team into the mix.
 
Little Rock opens the conference portion of the schedule with back-to-back home matches and three home contests in the first four battles before alternating home and away matches for the rest of the season.
 
With the addition of Western Illinois, the league schedule will take place over the last six weeks of the season. Each team will play a nine-match schedule. OVC play will start on September 17 and conclude on October 22.
 
It all begins on Sunday, Sept. 17 when Morehead State will visit the Capital City with Southern Indiana following suit on Thursday, Sept. 21. The Trojans hit the road for a trip to UT Martin on Sunday, Sept. 24 before returning home to host Lindenwood on Sunday, Oct. 1.
 
Little Rock's Team heads to Cape Girardeau, Missouri on Thursday, Oct. 5 to face Southeast Missouri then returns home on Sunday, Oct. 8 to host SIUE. A week later the Trojans head north to play at Eastern Illinois on Sunday, Oct. 15.
 
OVC newcomer Western Illinois makes its first trip to the Capital City on Thursday, Oct. 19 before Little Rock will wrap up the regular season on Sunday, Oct. 22 at Tennessee Tech.
 
Top seeds once again host the various rounds of the OVC Tournament with the opening round taking place Friday, Oct. 27 followed by the quarterfinals on Sunday, Oct. 29. The semifinals will take place on Thursday, Nov. 2 with the championship game set for Sunday, Nov. 5.
 
All dates are subject to change with all times to be announced, as well as the Trojans' non-conference slate.
 
Little Rock is entering its second year as members of the OVC while Kelly Farrell enters her second year as head coach of Little Rock's Team. The Trojans posted a 5-7-5 (2-3-3 OVC) record last season, finishing sixth in the league. The Trojans had a stretch where they only allowed one goal in a stretch of six matches and did not suffer a loss in their final three regular season matches.
