Little Rock Women Hosting Tennessee State Thursday

Tipoff is 5 p.m. at the Jack Stephens Center

Little Rock plays host to Tennessee State Thursday night.
After splitting two games on the road last week, the Little Rock women's basketball team is glad to be at home playing two teams it beat earlier this season. The Trojans (9-10, 7-3) play host to Tennessee State (5-15, 1-9) on Thursday night and UT Martin on Saturday. Thursday's game tips off at 5 p.m. Trey Schaap has the call on 106.7 Buz2, and the game will also be streamed on ESPN+ with the broadcast team of Dorian Craft and Michael Westbrook.

LAST TIME OUT
After erasing an 11-point fourth-quarter lead, the Trojans lost on a last-second shot to Lindenwood last Saturday.

The Lions secured the 72-70 win when Ellie Bruegemann grabbed a sideline inbound pass that was batted away in the lane and scooped it up and put it in with 1.1 seconds. Little Rock's Faith Lee tried to tie the game following a timeout but her jumper missed leaving the Trojans with the tough loss.

Jordan Holman led the Trojans with 27 points and 6 rebounds. Lee scored 12 points and eclipsed the 1,000t-point mark for her career. Mesi Triplett added 11 points and 7 rebounds and Alaina Payne chipped in 10.

A MILESTONE FOR LEE
Junior guard Faith Lee nearly passed 1,000 career points in a win at Western Illinois on Thursday night but had to wait till Saturday. She was two points short and easily scored four points in the first half of the loss at Lindenwood to achieve the milestone.
On Thursday night, she will be presented with a commemorative basketball. She is averaging just over 16 ppg this season.

HOLMAN SHINES
Lost in the Trojan's last-second loss was the big game Jordan Holman enjoyed. She led all scorers with 27 points and added 6 rebounds. That mark was a season high for the senior from Hugo, Okla. She is averaging 12.6 ppg and 4 4rpg this season.

THE SERIES
Little Rock is 5-1 all-time against TSU. The Trojans pulled out a 67-63 victory at Nashville earlier this month.

FIRST LOOK: TENNESSEE STATE
The Tigers snapped a 10-game losing streak at UT Martin with a 77-61 win last Tuesday but then lost to Tennessee Tech, 71-64, on Saturday. TSU is currently in last place in the OVC.
Freshman guard Smah Kamara leads TSU with 14.2 points per game. Aaniyah Webb is averaging 12 ppg. Sanaa' St. Andre averages 11.2 ppg and Saniah Parker chips in 10.9 ppg.
