Track & Field Heads to Jonesboro for Red Wolves Open

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock Track and Field will state in the Natural State this weekend as the Trojans head up to Jonesboro for the Red Wolves Open starting Friday.

Competing Teams
Little Rock, Arkansas State, Central Arkansas, Arkansas-Pine Bluff, Memphis, Christian Brothers, Rhodes, Southwest Baptist

Three Things to Know
  1. Going for Gold Again
Aaliyah Lacy claimed gold in both the 100m and 200m dashes last week at the Little Rock Open. She looks to defend her top placing in both events this weekend in Jonesboro while also improving upon her times. Her 100m time of 11.83 last weekend in Little Rock places her ninth in the Sun Belt currently.
  2. Bank(s) On It
Ricardo Banks has claimed gold in the 800m in two consecutive meets, including against ACC competition at the Miami Hurricanes Invitational. He will put his winning streak on the line up in Jonesboro this weekend, leading a strong contingent of Trojans in the event. Banks has not finished lower than second in the 800m so far this season.
  3. The Final Countdown
This weekend's meet is not only a chance to get better, but it begins a quickly evaporating countdown. The Sun Belt Championship meet is less than a month away with both the men and women looking to peak on Mobile.
