Three Things to Know
  1. Everything's Bigger in Texas
And when you compete in the Texas Relays, the competition looms large. Little Rock will put its best against the nation's best when the Trojans spend three days in Austin as part of the prestigious Texas Relays. Little Rock action starts on Thursday with KaNeisha Jackson competing in the 400m hurdles in her senior season debut.
  2. Hotty Toddy
While some Trojans head to Texas, the remainder of the team will head to Oxford, Mississippi for the Ole Miss Classic. Many of the younger Trojans will face challenging competition from regional teams.
  3. Last Trip Around the Sun
With great fanfare, Little Rock Athletics announced on Dec. 9 that the Trojans would be moving to the Ohio Valley Conference on July 1, 2022. This will take Little Rock's Team from the far-flung Sun Belt and move the Trojans into a more regionally aligned and geographically focused conference where the there is only one institution further than a six-hour drive. Only five of the soon-to-be 15 Sun Belt schools are located within a six-hour drive with six school located more than 10 hours away. Once it joins the league this July, Little Rock will become one of the league's 10 institutions, joining Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, Morehead State, Southeast Missouri State, Southern Indiana, SIU Edwardsville, Tennessee State, Tennessee Tech and UT Martin, and will become just the 22nd member the 74-year old conference has had.
