DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – Little Rock closed out its final Sun Belt Championship tied for eighth at the conference meet with a 52-over 916 at LPGA International. The Trojans posted a 20-over 308 over the final 18 holes, closing out the event by solidifying an impressive season mark.

With the three-day event 916, Little Rock closes out the 2021-22 season setting a new program record for season scoring average at 301.33, besting the previous mark of 301.39 set by the 2014-15 team. It is also the best score for the Trojans at the Sun Belt meet since shooting a 901 at the 2017 event, held in Muscle Shoals, Alabama.
A pair of Trojans finished among the individual top-20, led by
Katja Mueller tying for 11th in her first conference championship with a 9-over 225, including a 2-over 74 over the final 18 holes. Mueller was among the top competitors on par five holes, finishing at 2-under and tied for second, and second among the field with 41 pars as her birdie on number eight helped solidify the program-best mark.
Agatha Alesson also finished among the individual top-20, tying for 18th with an 11-over 227 for her second-straight conference top-20 finish. Alesson shot a 6-over 78 over the final 18 holes, ranking among the tournament leaders in par-four scoring at 3-over, tied for sixth, with 39 total pars.
Anna Dawson tied for 31st in her first conference meet with a 14-over 230, including a 3-over 75 over the final 18 holes.
Viktoria Krnacova tied for 42nd at 20-over 236 with
Sydney Scraba closing out her Little Rock career tying for 44th with a 21-over 237.
Entering the day in 10th, Little Rock was able to jump two spots to finish in a tie for eighth, ending the event tied with UT Arlington as the duo get set to depart the Sun Belt Conference. The Trojans and Mavericks both finished one shot better than 10th-place App State (53-over 917) and five shots ahead of 12th-place ULM (57-over 921).
Georgia Southern won the team title, taking the wire-to-wire win with a 31-over 895 and besting Coastal Carolina (35-over 899) by four shots. Arkansas State (36-over 900) placed third with Texas State (40-over 904) and Troy (42-over 906) rounding out the top-five.
In addition to the new team scoring average mark, Mueller and Alesson added their name to the Trojan record books, capping off the 2021-22 season. Mueller finished with a 74.53 scoring average for the year, ranking fifth in program history, while Alesson's 75.70 average sits 14th for a single-season mark.

Jenna Wylie as strides continued to be made throughout the year. The Trojans finished in the top-10 as a team in nine of 10 events this season and are poised to finish with one of their best GolfStat final rankings in a number of years.
