Aernouts Named OVC Golfer of the Week

Junior records top-10 finish to lead Trojans at ULM Invitational

BRENTWOOD, Tenn. – After a strong three-round performance to lead Little Rock at the ULM Invitational, junior Eleonore Aernouts has been named Ohio Valley Conference Golfer of the Week.

Aernouts finished ninth overall with a three-round total of 217 (+1) at Bayou DeSiard Country Club, pacing the Trojans in a competitive field.

She opened the tournament with a 1-over 73, recording multiple birdies to position herself near the top of the leaderboard. Aernouts followed with another steady round of 73 (+1) in Round 2, continuing her consistent play across both nines.

Aernouts closed strong on Tuesday with her best round of the tournament, firing a 1-under 71. Her final round featured multiple birdies and a steady approach throughout, allowing her to climb into the top 10.

"This is an honor that has been a long time coming for Eleonore," Little Rock head coach Jenna Birch said. "She has put in a lot of hard work and truly earned this recognition. To see her playing some of her best golf late in the season is a great sign as we head into the championship in two weeks. I'm proud of her, and I believe there are many more accomplishments ahead."

Aernouts credited her patience and approach throughout the week.

"I stayed patient and trusted my game all week," Aernouts said. "It's great to see the work paying off, and I'm excited to keep building as we head into the postseason."

Across the three rounds, Aernouts played her final 18 holes under par and showed the consistency that has defined her spring season.

The honor highlights Aernouts' continued development and provides momentum for the Trojans as they prepare for the OVC Championship.
