Little Rock Hosts Another Successful Trojan Golf Shamble

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Little Rock held its eighth annual Golf Shamble on Monday, August 29 at Pleasant Valley Country Club, hosting another successful event. The 2022 Shamble raised over $66,000 with all of the funds going directly to support Trojan golf student-athletes.

"Once again, I'm so thankful and humbled by the support we receive every year for our Golf Shamble," said Director of Golf Jake Harrington. "It means so much to us to have the support of the Little Rock community, which allows our men and women to compete on a national level. Our programs have continued to improve, both competitively and with resources, and that is directly due to the support we receive from this event as well as throughout the year."
 
This year's Shamble, presented by title sponsor Bale Chevrolet, recognized the Ted and Betty Williams Foundation, which helps provide annual scholarship support for the Little Rock women's golf program.
 
37 teams competed in this year's Shamble at Pleasant Valley, pairing up with current and former Trojan golf student-athletes. Teams played a five-player scramble with contests for prizes on various holes. David's Burgers once again served as the lunch sponsor.
 
Little Rock's 2022-23 golf season gets underway this weekend as the Trojan women head to Mobile, Alabama, competing in the USA Intercollegiate September 3-5. The Trojan men begin their season in San Francisco, California, competing in the Olympic Club Intercollegiate September 12-13.
