Three Things to Know
  1. Little Rock Speed
When the clock hits 4 p.m., the men's 4x100m relay will capture fans attention. Little Rock, ranked 14th on the West Prelims Performance List, brings the highest-ranked relay team to the competition while Kansas (No. 63) ranks second with nearly a full second separating the two. Ranked behind the Jayhawks is Arkansas (No. 68), who looks to move up in the rankings with three relay team entries.
  2. Hand It Off
The women's 4x100m relay is sure to be fast Friday when the starter's gun goes off at 4:05 p.m. Little Rock, ranked 48th on the West Prelims Performance List, trails only Arkansas (No. 8) among the entrants while Missouri State (No. 89) will also be in the race. Not ranked but sure to challenge the Trojans for a top time are Kansas and Tulsa.
  3. New(by) Chance to Establish Dominance
All eyes Friday will be on the men's 800m run as the 41-runner field looks to be one of the most competitive races to take the track. In addition to a handful of Razorbacks, several top Kansas runners are among the event's entry list as well as multiple runners competing for Team USA. It is also a chance for Nicholas Newby and Andrew Payton to showcase what they are capable of. The multi-heat event, which starts at 6:05 p.m. Friday, is highlighted by four runners nationally ranked in the top 100.
