LITTLE ROCK – Little Rock is set to compete in their final event of the regular season at the Ironwood Invitational in Greenville, N.C. on April 3-4.

Tournament Information
The 2023 Ironwood Invitational, hosted by East Carolina, will be held Monday, April 3 and Tuesday, April 4 at the Ironwood Country Club, a par-72, 6,266 yard course in Greenville, N.C. The 54-hole event will be played over two days, with rounds one and two on Monday and beginning at 7 a.m. CST and 11:30 a.m. CST, respectively., leading into Tuesday's final round beginning at 7:15 a.m. Live scoring will be available here.
 
Tournament Field
Little Rock will compete against 10 other teams when they head to the East Coast this week and will be only Ohio Valley Conference school among the field. Three teams sit in the latest GolfStat Top-100, including College of Charleston (No. 46), James Madison (No. 77), and North Florida (97) and Florida Gulf Coast (No. 112), hosts East Carolina (No. 138), former foes in the Sun Belt Conference Coastal Carolina (No. 143), join Little Rock (No. 147) among the GolfStat Top-150.

Trojan Lineup
Head coach Jenna Birch will turn to a familiar bunch, led by Agatha Alesson and her team-best 74.92 scoring average with five par-or-better rounds. Anna Dawson will play the number two spot, boasting a 75.71 average, with Viktoria Krnacova, Katja Mueller, and Malena Austerslaatt will round out the Trojan lineup.
 
Last Showing
Katja Mueller's season-best 1-over 217 secured her a runner-up finish at the Bama Beach Bash on March 19-21 in Gulf Shores, Ala. The Trojans finished in fourth, carding a 43-over 907 and saw three Trojans among the individual top-20, the most in any event since the 2020-2021 season. Mueller was joined in the Individual top-20 by Viktoria Krnacova, who finished tied for tenth with a 9-over 225, her season-high, and Malena Austerslaatt, whose 11-over 227 tied her for 15th.

More OVC Honors
Sophomore Katja Mueller was named the Ohio Valley Conference Female Golfer of the Week on March 23 after her second place finish at the Bama Beach Bash the week prior. Mueller makes the fourth Trojan to earn the weekly honors and marks the fifth time this season the award has gone to a Trojan.
 
The Road Ahead
The Ironwood Invitational will be Little Rock's final regular-season tournament of the year and the team hopes to make a statement heading into their first Ohio Valley Conference Championships April 16-18. The Trojans were the preseason favorites in the OVC poll, receiving six of the seven first place votes and 36 total points. Little Rock is currently ranked 147 according to GolfStat, five spots behind the highest ranked team in the OVC, Morehead State (No. 142).

Record Watch
Heading into this week's event, Agatha Alesson and Katja Mueller continue to fight for their spots in the Little Rock Record Book. Alesson's 75.42 career scoring average currently places her in fourth, one spot behind Shania Berger (75.24) and two spots behind teammate Mueller, who played her 50th round career round at the Jackrabbit Invitational this season to make her eligible for the record. Mueller's current 74.81 career scoring average places her in second, with the all-time high career scoring average held by Sara Wikstrom (74.63).
