LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – Sophomore
Landri Schreier claimed three gold medals with three marks ranked in the top five in school history, helping to lead the Trojans to a sweep at the Little Rock Invitational Friday at the Coleman Sports Complex.

Troy McKnight added two gold medals as McKnight and Schreier bested the rest of the competition in both the 100m and 200m dashes and the duo compiled five gold medals as part of Little Rock's 20 gold medal haul in the two-day meet.

It began with the 4x100m relay as Schreier ran the second leg of the relay team that posted the fifth-fastest time in school history, clocking 45.98. Joined by
Gabby Ayiteyfio,
Takia Palmer and
Maliyah Holland, the quartet gave spectators a clue as to what was to come.

Later in the day Schreier blazed to an 11.74 time in the 100m dash for the third-fastest time in school history while
Takia Palmer finished second with the ninth-fastest time in school history, running 11.92. Holland finished third with a time of 12.03. Then Schreier posted the fourth-fastest time in school history, clocking 24.10 while
Takia Palmer clocked 24.53 to claim bronze, posting the seventh-fastest time in school history. Both of Schreier's individual sprint times mark new facility records.

While Schreier was sprinting past the competition, McKnight was preparing to do the same. McKnight's 100m dash time of 10.34 moves him into a tie for sixth place in the school's record books while
TaVieon Neal finished second with a time of 10.43. Then in the 200m, McKnight ran 20.98 to claim his second gold medal on the day.

In the 800m,
Nicholas Newby set a new facility record to win the race with a time of 1:52.88 while
Andrew Payton finished second with a time of 1:52.95, a new career-best time that moves him into 10
th in school history.
Juan Garza won the 400m with a time of 48.51 and
Spencer Cardinal ran 3:59.28 in the 1,500m to win his race. Newby also anchored the 4x400m relay team that won with a time of 3:20.66 as he was joined by
Frankie Grey,
Teylen Patterson and Garza.

A pair of Trojan men moved into third in school history in the hurdles action. In the 400m hurdles,
Tyler Moore registered his first career win as he laid claim to gold with a time of 53.23 while
Cogan DeRousselle's time of 14.47 placed him second overall. On the women's side,
Alexia Allen won the 400m hurdles with a time of 1:03.89.

Johnathan Jones won the high jump at the Little Rock Invitational for the third consecutive year as he cleared 6-11.75 (2.13m) while
Deshawn Roberts moved into third in school history as he secured silver by clearing 6-9.75 (2.08m).
Jordan Wallace finished third by clearing 6-4 (1.93m) while
Falon Short cleared 6-2 (1.88m) to finish fourth.

Wallace would win the triple jump with a mark of 47-5 (14.45m) while
Ryan Curington won the long jump with a leap of 23-6 (7.16m) while Short's long jump of 23-4.5 (7.12m) moves him into seventh in school history. Grey, in his first long jump appearance in his career, grabbed bronze with a jump of 23-0.75 (7.03m) as he moved into 10
th in school history.

The Trojan women swept the podium in the long jump with
Jaelyn Tucker leading the way, jumping 19-1.25 (5.82m) for gold while
Bria Allen claimed silver with a jump of 18-8.5 (5.70m) and
Kendall King's jump of 18-1 (5.51m) placed her third for bronze.

Little Rock swept the shot put as
Janae Largins' throw of 44-3.5 (13.50m) moves her into fourth in school history while
Aaliyah Mathis was the runner up, throwing 43-6.5 (13.27m) to finish second and rank eighth in school history. On the men's side,
Desmond Frazier won with a throw of 54-9.5 (16.70m).

Brenna Harris,
unfortunately not wearing her Mickey Mouse ears while competing, won the javelin with a throw of 94-0 (28.65m) while also finishing third in the high jump by clearing 5-3 (1.60m).

Ludovica Polini set a new facility record in the pole vault by clearing 11-7.75 (3.55m) to record her second career win and
Alison Stephens won the discus with a throw of 137-7 (41.94m).

Little Rock will split squads next weekend with select athletes heading to California for the Mt. SAC Relays while others will head to Norman, Oklahoma for the Sooner Invite and Multis.
