JACKSONVILLE, Fla. -
Frankie Grey bested his previous mark to set the school record in the 400m hurdles as the Little Rock men's and women's track and field teams completed the first day of the East Coast Relays hosted by North Florida on Friday.
Grey placed third in the event with a NCAA qualifying and personal best time of 51.91 to best his previous school record mark of 52.32 set at the Little Rock Invitational.Â
Tyler Moore placed 19th in the event with a time of 55.25.
Landri Schreier was the top Trojan finisher in the women's 200m with a time of 24.18.Â
Takia Palmer finished the event in 24.27, and
Maliyah Holland recorded a time of 24.60.Â
Makayla Jones finished the 200m event in 25.28.
Cameron Jackson placed 20th in the men's 200m with a season best time of 21.13, while
Cogan DeRousselle placed 26th in 21.13.
in the field events,
Aaliyah Mathis placed fourth in the shot put with a throw of 47-06.50 (14.49m).Â
Janae Largins placed fifth in the shot put with a distance of 47-01.75 (14.37m) and 26th in the hammer with a throw of 143-06 (43.74m).
Deshawn Roberts placed seventh in the high jump with a distance of 6-08.00 (2.03m).
In the men's long jump,
Matthew Fox placed 16th with a jump of 6.87m.Â
Carolin Bielert was the top Trojan finisher in the women's event with a jump of 18-07.25 (5.67m) to rank her tied for seventh in school records, while
Layloni Watson recorded a jump of 17-07.50 (5.37m).
The Trojans will compete in the men's and women's triple jump, women's discus, men's and women's 4x100m relay, men's 800m, women's 100m hurdles, men's 110m hurdles, and the men's and women's 100m dash for the final day of the East Coast Relays on Saturday.
