SEARCY, Ark. - The Little Rock Track and Field Teams competed at the Bison Open on Saturday as
Landri Schreier set the Little Rock record in the 100m, and
Aaliyah Mathis set the school record in the discus. The Trojans finished the meet with seven event first place finishes.

TRACK EVENTS
Schreier won the 100m with a personal best time of 11.55 to best the school record mark set in 2016 by three seconds.
Takia Palmer placed second in 11.87, while
Maliyah Holland placed third with a personal best time of 11.89 to rank her tied for eighth in Little Rock records.
Makayla Jones placed sixth in 12.04, and
Talia Palmer placed ninth in 12.24.
Kendall King recorded a time of 12.75 for a 20th place finish.
In the men's 100m,
Troy McKnight won the event with a time of 10.41.
Gabriel Torres placed second in 10.49, while
Cogan DeRousselle placed fifth in 10.57.
Teylen Patterson recorded a time of 10.78 for a 13th place finish.
The women's 4x100m relay team of Holland,
Takia Palmer, Schreier, and Jones won the event with a time of 46.26 to rank the team eighth in school records.
In the men's 4x100m relay, the team of McKnight, DeRousselle,
Frankie Grey, and Torres won the event with a time of 40.18 to rank the team seventh in Little Rock Records. The team of Patterson.
Dion Murombe,
Juan Garza, and
Cameron Jackson placed fourth in 40.93.
Brooke Walker recorded a personal best time of 5:03.91 in the women's 1,500m.
In the 110m hurdles,
John Sanderson placed third in 14.94, and
Tyler Moore placed fourth in 15.12.
Zoa Adams placed third in the women's 400m recording a time of 57.77, while in the men's event, Garza placed third in 48.45.
Cayla Anthony was the top Trojan finisher in the women's 800m placing second in 2:18.40, while
Amy Calvillo placed 13th in 2:28.28.
In the women's 400m hurdles,
Alexia Allen placed second with a time of 1:04.53, while in the men's event,
Matthew Tyeskie placed third in 57.13.
Schreier was the top Trojan finisher in the 200m placing second in 24.43, while Holland placed third in 24.83.
Takia Palmer finished in 24.88 for fourth place.
In the men's 200m, Jackson placed second in 21.18, and McKnight placed third in 21.40.
FIELD EVENTS
Mathis won the discus and recorded a distance of 161-11 (49.35m) to best her previous record mark of 159-3 set at the OVC Championships last season.
Alison Stephens placed second with a throw of 141-1 (43.01m).
Mathis also won the women's shot put recording a distance of 46-0 (14.02m), while
Kiara Moss placed 13th with a throw of 38-9 (11.81m).
Stephens was the top Trojan finisher in the women's hammer placing fourth with a throw of 158-8 (48.36m), while
Janae Largins placed eighth in 147-0 (44.81m).
In the men's hammer,
Casey Griffin placed sixth with a distance of 164-1 (50.02m).
Brooklyn Marcee placed third in the women's pole vault with a distance of 11-5.75 (3.50m).
Carolin Bielert was the top Trojan finisher in the women's long jump with a distance of 18-5.25 (5.62m), while
Layloni Watson placed eighth with a distance 17-9.75 (5.43m).
In the men's long jump,
Falon Short placed third with a jump of 22-11 (6.733m).
Watson won the women's triple jump with a personal best distance of 40-7.5 (12.38m) to rank her second in Little Rock records, while
Crystal Trowers placed third with a distance of 37-8 (11.48m) to rank her sixth in school records.
In the men's triple jump, Murombe won the event with a jump of 47-8.5 (14.54m).
Deshawn Roberts place second in the high jump with a distance of 6-8.25 (2.04m), while Short placed third with a jump of 6-6.25 (1.99m).
In the women's high jump,
Ragen Hodge placed second with a personal best jump of 5-5.75 to rank her tied for third in school records.
Alicia Long also recorded a personal best jump of 5-5.75 (1.67m) for third place and ties her tied for third in school records.
